About Us
The Castro Valley Women’s Club was founded in 1948 by Barbara Russell and Helen Fowler with the purpose of investing in our community while growing friendships.
We hold monthly meetings, social activities and fundraising events with the goal of having fun, building friendships and identifying ways to contribute to our community.
For 75 years, our Club has continuously sponsored an annual scholarship program for college bound Castro Valley High School seniors. In the last 20 years alone, the Castro Valley Women's Club has donated over $200,000 in financial and volunteer help to local charities like SOS Meals on Wheels. Through our work and our donations over our 75 years, we have continued to build the spirit of community within Castro Valley and have donated more than $455,000.
